1. Who we are
Life Circles (“we”, “us”) operates the Life Circles mobile app and website at calm-life.org. We are a relationship-care tool that helps you stay close to the people who matter. Our registered contact is privacy@calm-life.org.
2. What data we collect
Account information - your name, email address, and optionally your phone number when you create an account.
Your circle - names, email addresses, birthdays, and relationship notes for people you add to your circle.
Activity data - touchpoints, open promises, good deeds, goals, reflections, reminders, and calendar events you create in the app.
Voice notes - audio recordings you choose to record in the app.
Usage data - basic analytics like feature usage, crash reports, and session length. We do not use third-party ad analytics.
Device tokens - push notification tokens so we can send you circle nudges and birthday reminders.

3. How we use your data
- Provide and personalise the Life Circles service
- Send circle nudges, birthday reminders, and daily affirmations through enabled channels
- Generate AI-powered drafts and briefs only when you request them
- Process Life Circles Premium subscriptions through Stripe on web or your device's app store on mobile
- Improve the app through anonymised usage data

5. Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings to Delete Account. On deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregate statistics may be retained.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, portability, correction, erasure, restriction, and objection. To exercise these rights, email privacy@calm-life.org. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Data security
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access controls, row-level security, and audit logging are in place. We follow industry-standard security practices and work with SOC 2-compliant infrastructure providers.
8. Children
Life Circles is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
